Woman seeks compensate HK$8,000 from the salon which can't fulfill her request.
A woman is seeking HK$8,000 in compensation from a hair salon, saying it failed to meet her request to make her look like Hollywood actress Julia Roberts in the hit movie Pretty Woman.
South China Morning Post reported that the hairstyle Chu Ieu received at the New Idol Hair Studio Ltd threw her love life into turmoil and sent her into fits of depression.
Chu, who refused to give her age, told Small Claims Tribunal adjudicator George Own her hair was damaged after two perms she received at the studio on July 16 and Aug 3 2001.
"They must have done something wrong in the process. Now my hair is totally ruined and I look like a broom-head," said Chu.
Adjudicator Own adjourned the case until March 5, 2002.
