Detriot, USA: A metro Detroit hair salon owner will appear in court March 14 to face charges of hiring a juvenile to perform sex acts in his Ferndale shop.
Police said that Fares Elia, 34, tried to get the juvenile to perform the acts as part of full body massages given at Fabulous Hair Design on West Nine Mile Road in Ferndale.
Police said that Elia offered the job to a juvenile, so police sent in an undercover officer to see if the hair salon owner would make the same offer. Police say he did.
"He wanted to hire her to perform full body massages, which included areas that wouldn't normally be touched during a massage, as well as sexual acts," said Sgt. Gary Whiting of the Ferndale Police.
Police say that Elia told the undercover officer that the more she did with the customer the more money she would make.
"He said that he had special customers that would set up appointments for her services," Whiting said.
Elia was supposed to be in court Thursday, but the hearing was adjourned and a new date set.
Elia faces a pandering charge, which is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Meanwhile, Fabulous Hair Design remains open for business.
