Cop with dyed hair turns to court.
September 30, 2002(HONG KONG) A senior female detective is taking the police force here to court for ordering her to remove the dyed highlights from her hair, a news report said yesterday.
Detective Senior Insp Sharon Lim Shiow-hwa was told last December to "do something" about her hair by her senior officer.
When she failed to follow the order she was slapped with a disciplinary charge, the report in the Sunday Morning Post here said.
Lim, among others, is seeking a court declaration that the rule on hair colour is "unreasonable, irrational and unenforceable". - dpa
